Thank you for choosing Downeast. If you need to make a return, here are a few guidelines to help make the process as smooth as possible. 

 

Downeast Home 
 

Returns/Exchange Policy: 

There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges allowed on Downeast Home, Downeast Outlet, closeout Downeast products, off-price, or final sale items. 

  • Cancellations: Cancellations for Downeast Home products can be made within 2 business days of purchase by contacting our Customer Service Team. We aim to fulfill every order, but sometimes cancellations are unavoidable due to factors beyond our control.
  • Refused Shipments: Shipments should be delivered in a timely manner and without visible damage. If such a shipment is refused by the customer, a $250 return shipment fee will be added on top of the 10% restocking fee. 
     

Price Adjustments:  

  • Downeast will honor a one-time price adjustment within 14 days of the original purchase. The amount adjusted will be refunded to the original form of payment. The customer is required to be present, with the original receipt, for the adjustment. Online price adjustments can only be made by contacting Downeast Customer Service during operating hours.
  • Special holiday events and flash sales will be excluded, including but not limited to the events surrounding President’s Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Semi-Annual Sales, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Friends & Family, and the days after Christmas. 
     

Pricing and Other Listing Errors:  

  • If a listing error is found while processing your order, we will take the necessary steps to correct the error and fulfill your order as accurately as possible. Cancelling an order is the last thing we want to do, but it may be necessary when we find listings with incorrect details. If we need to cancel your order, we will send you an email with the reason for cancellation. 


Gift Cards: 
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and are not eligible for returns. These cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Returns and Exchanges 

Unworn, unwashed, and unused merchandise may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the purchase or delivery date. All returns must be in the original unused and unworn condition, with tags attached. Items must be free of perfume, makeup, and animal hair. Swimwear with tampered or missing liners will not be accepted. There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges allowed on Downeast Home, Downeast Outlet, closeout Downeast products, off-price, or final sale items. 
 

Online Returns 

  • Return Portal: All online returns must be processed through the Return Portal. Most returns are processed within 7-10 business days from the time the return is received at our distribution center. A refund will then be credited back to your original method of payment and will be posted approximately 3-7 business days after the processing date or according to your financial institution. Orders paid with an E-Gift card will be refunded to a new E-Gift card.
  • Shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Returning Online Orders in Stores: If an online order is returned to an in-store location, pleasehave the confirmation email present at the time of the return. If you need more help locating your confirmation email, please contact our Customer Service Team. If Klarna, PayPal, or Venmo is used as a method of payment, an in-store return can only be processed as a merchandise gift card.
  • Defective Items: If you receive a defective item, please contact Downeast Customer Service for assistance. 


In-Store Returns
 

  • Receipts: The original receipt or order number is needed for any return or exchange. 
  • Refunds: Refunds will be returned to the original method of payment. Cash refunds of $200 or more may be processed as a check and may take up to 14 business days to arrive by mail.
  • In-Store Purchases: Merchandise purchased in-store must be returned in-store. Stores cannot accept returns via mail. Downeast does not guarantee any return or refund will be processed if any returns are mailed directly to a store location. 
     

Final Sale Items 

All Clearance items and items marked as Final Sale are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If a Final Sale item is returned, it will not be refunded or returned to the sender.  

 
Additional Notes 

  • Downeast has the right to deny any returns or exchanges. 
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable. 
  • Returns that are received outside of our return guidelines will not be refunded or returned.
  • Downeast merchandise is not intended for resale.
