Return Policy
Thank you for choosing Downeast. If you need to make a return, here are a few guidelines to help make the process as smooth as possible.
Returns and Exchanges
Unworn, unwashed, and unused merchandise may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the purchase or delivery date. All returns must be in the original unused and unworn condition, with tags attached. Items must be free of perfume, makeup, and animal hair. Swimwear with tampered or missing liners will not be accepted. There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges allowed on flash sale or final sale items.
Online Returns
- Return Portal: All online returns must be processed through the Return Portal. Most returns are processed within 7-10 business days from the time the return is received at our distribution center. A refund will then be credited back to your original method of payment and will be posted approximately 3-7 business days after the processing date or according to your financial institution. Orders paid with an E-Gift card will be refunded to a new E-Gift card.
- Exchanges: Unless an instant exchange is selected while requesting a return, all exchanges will be shipped after the original return is processed.
- Shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Returning Online Orders in Stores: If an online order is returned to an in-store location, please have the confirmation email present at the time of the return. If you need more help locating your confirmation email, please contact our Customer Service Team.
- Payment Methods: If Shop Pay or Google Pay is used as a method of payment, orders must be returned online. Returns with these payment methods are not able to be completed in-store. Please reach out to customer service with any questions.
- Defective Items: If you receive a defective item, please contact Downeast Customer Service for assistance.
In-Store Returns
- Receipts: The original receipt or order number is needed for any return or exchange.
- Refunds: Refunds will be returned to the original method of payment. Cash refunds of $200 or more may be processed as a check and may take up to 14 business days to arrive by mail.

In-Store Purchases: Merchandise purchased in-store must be returned in-store. Stores cannot accept returns via mail. Downeast does not guarantee any return or refund will be processed if any returns are mailed directly to a store location.
Final Sale Items
All Clearance items and items marked as Final Sale are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If a Final Sale item is returned, it will not be refunded or returned to the sender.
Additional Notes
- Downeast has the right to deny any returns or exchanges.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Returns that are received outside of our return guidelines will not be refunded or returned.
- Downeast merchandise is not intended for resale.
Gift Cards:
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and are not eligible for returns. These cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
