CREAMY CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
“This creamy chicken noodle soup recipe is great when you want to make chicken noodle soup, but don't have all day to make it. My mom would make this in huge batches and take it to neighbors.” – Jessica
Ingredients:
3 quarts chicken stock (water + bouillon)
2 cups celery (diced)
2 cups carrots (diced)
2/3 cup onion (diced)
2 cups uncooked egg noodles
2 small cans cream of chicken soup
1 12 oz. can evaporated milk
Instructions:
Boil vegetables in chicken stock for about 10 minutes. Add noodles and cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients and warm through.
SHAUNA’S CHILI

Ingredients:
1 pound hamburger
1/2 an onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
1 can diced green chilies
28 ounce can tomatoes, undrained
2 cans kidney beans, drained
3 cans pinto beans, drained
3 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Brown hamburger with onion. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat, and let simmer for at least 20 minutes.
CREAMY ZITI

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
2 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste
8 ounces dry ziti pasta
1 cup spaghetti sauce
1 cup shredded parmesan
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
Instant Pot Instructions:
Add broth, cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and pasta in that order. Do not stir, but make sure noodles are covered. Set Instant Pot to Manual for six minutes. Natural Release for six minutes, then quick release. Add the spaghetti sauce and stir in. Slowly add the cheeses while stirring, thickening the sauce.
Stovetop Instructions:
Combine broth, cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and dry pasta in large pot. Cover and cook on medium high heat until it starts to simmer. Remove lid and let simmer another 10 minutes. Turn the heat to medium low and add in spaghetti sauce. Slowly add the cheeses while stirring, thickening the sauce. Let rest for five minutes.
SUGAR COOKIES

Cookies
6-7 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs first, then vanilla, lemon extract, and sour cream. Add dry ingredients and mix will, but don’t overmix. Roll out on floured surface to about ¼ to 1/3 inch thick. Cut out desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-6 minutes.
Frosting
5 ½ cups powdered sugar
½ cup shortening
¼ cup butter
1 egg white
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla
5-6 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
Beat for five minutes.
CINNAMON ROLLS

Dough:
2 cups warm water
3 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons yeast
6-7 cups flour
Topping:
1/2 cup melted butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions:
Mix together until dough pulls away from edge of bowl and reaches proper consistency. Flour countertop and roll dough into rectangle. Brush melted butter on top and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Roll lengthwise and cut into one-inch slices, placing each piece on a greased jellyroll pan. Let rise for 10 minutes. Bake at 400° for 25-27 minutes. Remove rolls to rack and let cool slightly, then glaze.
Danish Apple Bars

Crust
Ingredients:
3 ¾ cups flour
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ cups shortening
2 eggs, separated
Milk
1 cup cornflakes
Apples, pared and sliced
Combine flour, salt, and shortening. Beat egg yolks in a measuring cup; add enough milk to make 1 cup. Mix with flour mixture. Roll out half of the dough and put onto a cookie sheet. Sprinkle with cornflakes. Cover with apple slices. *
Filling*
1 ½ cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Lemon juice
Butter
2 egg whites, beaten frothy
*To make this recipe super easy, you can use three quarts of canned apple pie filling instead of making the filling.
Instructions:
Mix the spices together; sprinkle over the apples. Dot with butter and sprinkle with a little lemon juice. Roll rest of dough and put on top. Cut a few slits in top. Brush egg whites on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes.
Glaze
Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar
¼ - ½ cup milk
Instructions:
Combine ingredients and drizzle over pastry while still hot.
